The original Monolith in '2001' was discovered on the Moon. This volcanic Monolith is inside St Helens; the name 'Helen' means - you guessed it - 'moon' as well as 'torch'. Hmm... :) Like the '2001' Monolith, it's quiet and nothing really explosive - and yet its 'message' potentially profound... if a potent context is applied.

Interestingly enough, I often mention the Monolith and associate it with a collection of interwoven patterns I call the 'Super Torch Ritual' (torch = Helen)... Recently, for example, Damage Plan 2: Alchemical Inferno (Apr. 6) ended like this:

All the discoveries we make along the way are the good stuff - the quiet Monolith. So, the inevitable fear factor that comes along with concepts like 'Damage Plan 2' can be seen as a way of 'motivating' us or a way to get our attention [...]

The Grail is outside the circle, outside the cycle of time. When that 'extra dimension' is ignored or disrespected, the 'Hammer of Judgment' does come down and smacks us hard, so to speak. :)

It's curious that there was another little buzz going during this period that happened to deal with a comet hitting the earth... you know, like Lucifer's Hammer or the Hammer of God or... Thor's Hammer.

...which is also 'Contact'.

Let me highlight the following points as we get ready to officially enter the Beltane '06 cross-quarter window heavily encoded into the Super Torch Ritual/Damage Plan scheme. (See Damage Plan 2: Alchemical Inferno etc.)

Key news stories this weekend preceding Beltane (early May):

• Organizers predict unprecedented rallies to support immigrants
• Thousands of anti-war protesters march in NYC
• Fitzgerald to Seek Indictment of Rove
• Imminent eruption of three powerful volcanoes
• etc.

All these developments appear remarkably reflective of the patterns or themes explicitly or implicitly projected for this period (Beltane has been treated as our key window for months).

We have the 'diametric echo effect' between Samhain '05 and Beltane '06 as one of the key components of the the underlying pattern.

The significance of this is enhanced by an Earth-Mars interaction highlighting those cross-quarter days:

By March 13, a major riot/protest situation could be projected for Beltane, as I wrote in The Crash Code - Part 3 (3/13/06):

It is my view that Beltane '06 (around May 5th) will experience an echo of the 'car-toon/burning riots', probably with more intensity. And I wonder if it will somehow involve a major Crash, as seemingly hinted by the Communication. (Financial or social or both or...)

The 'origin' event there was the Paris car-burning riots, which was the Samhain signature events last year. The other signature events around the beginning of November like Libby indicted in the Plamegate/CIA leak case are also naturally subject to this echo scheme as well.

And 'echoes' we are already seeing....

It seems it's volcano season - with three mountains blowing their tops in Indonesia and South America.

Mount Merapi in Java [note: Java is part of Indonesia], Lascar in Chile and Ubinas in Peru have all been spewing smoke and ash.

Merapi appears to be posing the biggest danger at the moment, with 30,000 people being moved away from the area.

Scientists think it could properly erupt in the next 10 days. "The motion of lava inside the crater is becoming more active," said one.

And:

The area around Mount Merapi in central Java has been put on the second highest level of alert, one below that needed to trigger a compulsory evacuation.

'Damage Plan #2' is 'alchemical' as well as 'volcanic' in nature, and closely linked to the two 'Super Torch Ritual' events, Super Bowl XL and the Turin Olympics as discussed in the DP2 article. Sumatra's ancient name is 'isle of gold' which is alchemical (= base metal transmuting into gold); and Sumatra is meridionally (i.e. via the North Pole) aligned with Detroit, the site '06 Super Bowl held in Ford Field...

Recall this recent/current Ford commercial (shown around the time of the Super Bowl) discussed in DP2: Alchemical Inferno - very alchemical and volcanic...

...and closely associated with our long-running cross-quarter timing scheme, diametrically linking the above to last fall's car-burning riots in Paris which is a city with the esoterically-significant 'Rose Line', that is, 'Zero Meridian' embodying the idea of a 'Royal Blood' or the Holy Grail. It's the ultimate meridian - the 'fire arc' or... 'burning car' (car <=> arc). Around early May - 'Beltane' cross-quarter window - represents the 'opposite' point (6-month separation) from that Paris event around the Samhain cross-quarter day/window. Beltane is also marked by the sunset alignment of the 'Historical Axis of Paris' heavily woven into the whole STR/DP design.

Other data points added, my estimation of the DP2 timeline 'anchor points' prior to the midpoint of the year (incomplete) has been something like this:

The current volcanic activities - significant enough to be reported on the front page of mainstream news sites - correspond to the first 'primary anchor point'. So that's certainly intriguing. {The early-June anchor point has been upgraded, by the way.)

(I must comment here that these days seemingly everyone and his brother is screaming 'May is da month!' - many of them rebounding from their disappointing experience with the over-hyped and uneventful 'late March' window they were so focused on before. Just to make clear that I'm not part of that crowd, I'll point out that by January of this year I was already discussing this period as being highly DP2-driven, i.e. very meaningful and potentially 'explosive'.)

But anyway, so the 'Vulcan' signal is now appearing to be intensifying via the emergent 'volcano season' - already becoming a largely literal expression of the projected theme. Whether this will continue to evolve linearly or it will lead to some multicontextual twists in the coming days and weeks is, as always, hard to tell. This stuff - this level of 'reality' - is ultimately interactive and about Communication (or 'Contact') and it can be high-impact or very subtle depending on the surrounding context (i.e. sometimes a 'bigger bang' is necessary to get our attention, so to speak). The path of least resistance goes to subtlety; whether that path will be taken is another story. Generally speaking, first we have multi-contextual patterns undetected or undeciphered by most, then through those patterns emerge seeds of Communication/Contact which in turn are 'Enki's whispers through the wall' transmitting 'forbidden' information. This process is set to shift into a high gear at this time as we go through the fiery Beltane period.

LOS ANGELES - The ensemble drama "Crash" pulled off one of the biggest upsets in Academy Awards history, winning best picture Sunday over the cowboy romance "Brokeback Mountain," which had been the front-runner.

Here are a couple of excerpts from my recent STRUG posts (March 2 & 4):

One major Imbolc-driven event that I haven't really talked about yet is the Mohammed cartoon fiasco. I actually have a lot to say on that subject and I think I'll start later today. I wanna get it out before the Academy Awards... (Yes, sounds strange but I see a little connection there.)

It'll lead to very unexpected places and foreshadow something quite... well, kind of interesting but inevitably dark as well. (Timing-wise I would tentatively place it in that April-May timeframe prominent in the time code).

From March 4:

Okay, a little behind schedule, as usual... so let me just quickly mention what's interesting about this year's Academy Awards to be held tomorrow. I'm looking to see if 'Crash' will be the film of the night. The surrounding 'underground' pattern is suggestive of 'Crash' being a big 'signal' in this phase of the STR/DP2 and this does relate back to recent major STR events... and what may be ahead.

So, I'd say 'signal confirmed'...

The Oscar prediction was of course just a by-product of something much bigger - an 'underground' pattern matrix. I call it the 'Communication'...

I don't have new graphics for this yet, but here is a table showing the diametric time echo scheme driven by the Deep Impact theme based on the positions of Comet Tempel 1 and Mars... (This is different from the table I posted a few weeks ago which looked similar.) As you can see, the date echoing Katrina/New Orleans ('Great Flood') is coming up shortly and will actually coincide with the Olympic closing ceremony in Turin. As was the case early July last year, there is actually a window around the beginning of March...

Related timing data:

• In 2004, August 29 was the closing ceremony day of the Athens Olympics - where a big 'Oz spiral' was displayed (hurricane association).
• Feb. 29, '06 is the 6-month echo point from Katrina/New Orleans.
• There will be a Sun-Mercury-Mars alignment on Feb. 27. The previous time this happened was ~Nov. 23, '05, when the  Hayabusa probe - 'Japan's Deep Impact' - was making contact with an asteroid. Around Nov. 23 also marked the 180 deg. point (in the Tempel-Mars interaction) from June 14 highlighted by a major Alaska quake which was 180 deg. away from London (and equidistant from the N. Pole). London would become the site of the earthly Deep Impact events early July.
• The midpoint between the current pair of Orange Alignments (Feb. 1 and Apr. 1), which is a curious 'repeat' of last year's, is ~March 1st.
• Mars' position on March 2, '06, exactly 180 deg. away from Tempel 1's September 2 position, will also coincide with the 6-month echo point from September 2.

Chances are, we'll see Katrina/New Orleans, or generally the 'Judgment' theme, echoed in some form around the beginning of March. It may be direct/high-impact or highly 'stylized' like the NYC transit strike (echoing the London 'transit bombings').

Since the Patriot Act renewal deadline is March 10, somehow a big factor in the STR pattern, we may be looking at a terror-related situation, perhaps involving, finally, the US west coast?

Possible, but it may be a little too early for a full-fledged 'Damage event'. For that, I'm looking more at April-May... that's likely to be a really interesting period... [...]
