• The Etemenanki web site went into a state of 'hibernation' after the April update, but it has more to do with me being very busy with my book project than me losing interest in the issues discussed here.  While away, I continued to notice a lot of 'hints' in events that conformed to our big picture/pattern, and I can list and explain them but I'm getting a little tired of doing it (I'm now more interested in the 'next step' whatever that may be), so let us just move on.  The reason for this update is the Concord crash near Paris yesterday (July 25).  I felt this event was too symbolically significant to not be discussed here - it correlates very clearly with the 'pattern' we've been following.
  
  
• As those who have followed this site would know, plane crashes are something I found to somehow relate to the Ark-Grail theme.  Yesterday's Concord crash near Paris, the first ever crash of the Concorde jets, was no exception.  First, Paris is a city I've repeatedly pointed out as a pretty big part of the Ark-Grail complex.  Second, the date July 25 is one of the key dates I've identified in the past and indeed the date was directly linked with Paris and the Ark-Grail theme in the  8/10/99 update.  Third, the doomed Concorde was en route to NYC - another major 'Ark-Grail city' (and recall that TWA 800, another symbolism-filled major plane crash, was en route to Paris from NYC).  Fourth, the day of the Concorde crash saw another disaster - the collapse of the intensive talks between Israelis and Palestinians at Camp David with no agreement reached.  The central issue discussed at Camp David was that of Jerusalem - the city of the Ark where the Ark of the Covenant that King David brought was kept in the Temple.  The name 'Camp David' reinforces the allusion to the Ark.  Notice the remarkable parallel between the Concorde crash and the collapse of the Mideast talks: the hope of reaching a 'concord' concerning the 'Ark city' (Jerusalem) crashed on the same day 'Concorde' crashed in another Ark-Grail city (Paris).  Another key theme connected with the Ark-Grail theme, Isis/Sirius-Mary Magdalene, is also incorporated into the symbolism: while President Clinton was away in Japan for few days, his job as the mediator at Camp David was taken over by Secretary of State Madeleine Albright whose first name derives from 'Magdalene'; the number of passengers killed in the Concorde crash, 100 (+ 9 flight attendants and 4 on the ground), matches the orbital period of Sirius B around Sirius, 50 years, which was counted double (i.e. 100) by the ancients (the Dogon, etc.); the feast day of Mary Magdalene is July 22, only three days before the 'crash day'.  And, according to tradition, the name 'Paris' is related to Isis.

• It is currently big news that the little Cuban boy Elian Gonzales was taken from the Miami relatives' home in a pre-dawn raid by the federal agents.  And it is remarkable that this event is filled with significant symbolisms.  The initial big clue is that this occurred during the Easter weekend.  Easter, of course, marks the day of Jesus' resurrection - thus directly relating to our 'resurrection' theme that we have been observing for quite a while now (see previous updates).  The fact that the event took place on Saturday also correlates well with our theme being primarily a Saturnian resurrection.  In addition, the Easter connection is significant in that Easter/Passover is considered 'a time of rescue', just as Elian was in a way "rescued" from those who were holding him back from his parent.

Actually, the Elian saga, from the very beginning, had a subtle underlying theme going related to Jesus and the key theme of the Grail-Ark.  In the beginning, the Cuban boy was 'saved from water' - just as Noah (of Noah's Ark, of course), Moses (of the Ark of the Covenant) who was saved by an Egyptian princess after his mother set him adrift on the river in an ark (and the name 'Moses' is often interpreted to mean just that, 'saved from water'), etc.  It should also be pointed out that Easter, as Passover, celebrates the Hebrews being 'rescued' from slavery in Egypt - a momentous event in which Moses played a central role.  There is another biblical figure who was 'saved from water'.  And it is Jesus (of the Holy Grail, or 'Blood Royal') - though it was more symbolic in his case: the event pertinent here is, of course, his baptism by John the Baptist where Jesus was ritualistically 'saved from water'.  And apart from biblical characters, there is Perseus, a great hero in Greek mythology, who is associated with both an ark and being 'saved from water'.  The myth tells us that Acrisius, angry at Danae (Perseus's mother), put her and the infant Perseus in a wooden ark which was cast into the sea.  Note that this parallels that fact that it was Elian and his mother, and not his father, who tried to sail to the United States on a boat.  Danae and Perseus were then saved by a fisherman which, remarkably, was exactly what happened to Elian as he was saved by a fisherman (though his mother died).

The name 'Elian' is interesting as well.  For example, 'Eliane' (which presumably is related to 'Elian') derives from 'helios', i.e. the 'sun'.  The significance of this is that the god Helios is also known as Apollo and the name of the latter means 'a stone' (according to one source, at least), and a stone is in many ways linked with the Ark-Grail (the Grail is, for example, described as a stone in Wolfram von Eschenbach's Parsival; and the Ark of the Covenant held stone tablets inside).  In addition, Easter is related to the 'sun' in that the day of the festival is counted from the spring equinox which is when the sun is seen to 'pass over' the celestial equator.

And 'Elaine', which may be viewed as a variant of Elian/Eliane, which derives from 'Helen', yields interesting links as well.  Helen, in Greek mythology, was the most beautiful woman of the age, and, remarkably, abduction is a big part of her story - resonating with the "abduction" of Elian from his relatives' home.  First, Helen was abducted when she was just nine by Theseus.  And then later in her life, she was, again, 'abducted' by Paris who is associated with fire (his mother saw the unborn child as a torch) and the apple (he was the judge in the beauty contest for the prize of the 'golden apple' which he gave to Aphrodite/Venus who is version of Isis-Sirius).  And of course, Paris, fire, apple, Isis-Sirius are part of the Grial-Ark complex (see 1999: The Ark of Sirius).  It is also intriguing that Helen was abducted from her adopted family, just as Elian was.  Note, additionally, that the 'golden apple' was 'For the Fairest' and this may correlate with the fact that Easter was considered a 'day of white' since 'fairest' can mean 'whitest'.  At any rate, Paris's abduction of Helen lead to the famous Trojan War - will this manifest in the Elian Gonzale's case in some way also?  It will be interesting to see.

• At the turn of the century/Mennellilum: Pope canceling his trip to Iraq, the media blackout on EgyptAir 990 crash, Mars Polar Lander missing, the Great-Pyramid capstone ceremony at Giza canceled, the millennium clock on the Eiffel Tower and the big millennium 'Wheel' thing (potent symbol of time) in London shut down at the last minute, Y2K bug failing to show up, etc.  Get the drift?  It seems like the groundhog had decided to stay in hibernation a little longer.

 
• Saturnalia (Dec. 17-23): Mars Polar Lander was not resurrected during the Saturnalia as I hypothesized as a possibility, but now NASA has announced that it may have located weak signals from MPL - the first one was apparently received on... Dec. 18.  It was also interesting that fairly major news about the Nazis surfaced on the Saturnalia day of Dec. 17th.  But what I found most interesting during Saturnalia was the launch of space shuttle Discovery on Dec. 19.  First, the time of the launch was 19:50 (symbolic of 19.5).  And then (I'm sure I'm the only one who noticed this - and I don't even know how I managed to catch it) there was a very intriguing connection with a TV program.  Which one?  Of course, the 'Discovery' Channel (for space shuttle Discovery)! :)  From 19:00, Discovery Channel was running a documentary about the recovery of the the Liberty Bell space capsule that was located and brought out of the deep water after spending 38 years at the bottom of  the Atlantic Ocean.  As mentioned before, this event took place on the key Sirian date of July 20 ('99) - the date NASA has used for especially important missions such as Apollo 11 Moon landing and Viking 1 Mars landing.  It turns out that the symbolic importance of the space shuttle Discovery (the last mission of the 20th century) was also confirmed by this date.  How can that be, as the launch was in December?  If one watched the 'Discovery' Channel and the launch of the shuttle Discovery simultaneously, s/he would have witnessed the incredible synchronization: at the moment of Discovery's lift-off, the Liberty Bell space capsule finally came out of the Atlantic Ocean and brought onto the ship on July 20th (and there were some seconds where the live TV showing the climbing Discovery and the Discovery Channel showed almost identical pictures of a rocket blasting into space)!  It was very amusing.

 
• Interestingly, there is a rumor going around that the Pope may step down next year.  So... it's looking as if the beginning of the new millennium will see a change in papacy as suspected.
  
  
• The search for lost Mars Polar Lander had officially ended on January 17th.  The date, not surprisingly, is an esoterically very significant date.  January 17 is a extremely recurrent date surrounding Rennes-le-Chateau and the Priory of Sion (these are related to the issue of the Ark-Grail).

 
• Those who watched Super bowl should have gotten a glimpse of the coming movie about Mars (briefly mentioned in previous update), 'Mission to Mars' in a commercial.  This movie, indeed, seems to involve the issue of Cydonia and, as I expected, human origin.  "Coincidentally," we are getting news stories about our possible descent from the Red Planet.

 
• Now, I'm not sure if I want say this... but here is something that the data I have is suggesting to me.  It's that the year 2000/2001 is to bring to the United States one of the biggest events the country has ever experienced.  This is not something I 'believe' or based on 'millennial' mentality; it's just what the data I have (not presented on this website) is suggesting to me.  The key concepts attached to this are termination and 'New World'.

• Okay, first, the Mars Polar Lander.  Well, it seems that Mars really doesn't like visitors from Earth.  Just like a lot of the other (an unnaturally high percentage of them) failed missions to Mars, the Polar Lander, once it reached its destination, it was not to be heard from again.  What happened?  No one is sure, apparently.  I can, however, provide some interesting symbolic coincidences and connections.

Big part of the on-going symbolic theme that I've observed in the events of the world recently, as discussed repeatedly before, is that of Sirius/Isis/Magdalene.  Therefore it is intriguing to notice that in December, the month I had specifically linked with that particular theme, the probe to Mars (Mars being another important and recurrent theme heavily intertwined with that of Sirius/Isis) reached the south pole of the Red Planet to, among other things, look for water - because Sirius/Isis/Mary (signifying femininity and the Goddess) has been intimately associated with water and the sea.  Looking for water, therefore, would translates as 'looking for Sirius/Isis/Magdalene', which then would relate to the intertwined 'resurrection' theme.  So what does the failing of the mission symbolically mean in this context?  Note that the doomed mission to find the 'Goddess' was seemingly echoed by another news of the same day (Dec. 3) about the 'death' of an Oscar-nominated actress, Madeline Kahn, as the name 'Madaline' derives from Magdalene.  Perhaps it could be viewed that the 'death' of the Mars Polar Lander was the symbolic prelude to the subsequent 'resurrection' that we may see soon in some form.  For example, it would be symbolically quite satisfying if NASA somehow managed to 'resurrect' the Polar Lander (i.e. establish communication) during Saturnalia (Dec. 17-23), etc.

If we recall, the Sirius/Isis resurrection theme in conjunction with Mars (the theme connected, relatively recently, with this December) was especially linked with two quatrains in '1999: The Ark of Sirius' - II-41 and II-48.  If we take another look at II-48, we are struck by not only the mention of 'Mars' and 'Arc' (=> Ark => Mary/Isis) in Line 2, but by the quatrains' last word 'polemars' (not a real word).  As I did in 'The Ark of Sirius',  the enigmatic word can be divided into 'pole' and 'mars', i.e. Mars' pole - the destination of the Mars Polar Lander.  The rest of the quatrain can still be interpreted in various ways in this new supplementary context.  The reader can have some fun doing their own interpretation.

• Let me touch on another curious aspect of the Mars Polar Lander mission.  As originally noted, or popularized, by Richard Hoagland ('The Enterprise Mission'), the tetrahedral angle, 19.5 degrees, appears to be closely connected with Mars (or more specifically, the Cydonia region) and NASA space missions have somehow incorporated this, and other, key number in a ritualistic manner (this strange notion has been recently proved mathematically).  The base geometry for this tetrahedral angle of 19.5 degrees is a tetrahedron in a circumscribing sphere (in this configuration, one apex of the tetrahedron touches the pole of the sphere and the other three apexes touch the latitude of 19.5 degrees).  For the very successful Mars Pathfinder mission (1997), the incorporation of 19.5 was more than obvious: the lander landed on the latitude 19.5 degrees, and the lander was tetrahedron-shaped!  It turns out that, not surprisingly, the Mars Polar Lander incorporated a reference to the tetrahedral geometry also.  Go to this page to see the clever allusion.

• Dec. 1, one of the key dates noted in the previous update, saw a repeat of last year's symbolically significant event of Dec. 1 - the merger of Exxon and Mobil.  (It was actually a day before Dec. 1 in the US this year, but other parts of the world was already Dec. 1.)  Go to the 12/1/98 update for some discussion on its significance.
  
  
• Interestingly, Dec. 1 also saw the remarkable news about the Human Genome Project which has sequenced the first human chromosome.  Genetics is, as can been read in '1999: Final Solution', is something I've linked with the other key themes.  It is probably meaningful that the success of the human genome sequencing roughly coincided with the Mars Polar Lander event.  Combine the two and the subtextual message seems to become clearer.  'Coincidentally', we'll have a major Hollywood movie about Mars next spring (?) in which the message will probably be clarified even more (though never expect or accept a straight answer as there are always devilish twists!).

• It appears that the Pope's scheduled trip to Iraq/Ur has been canceled.  So, my previous speculation about his reign coming to its end around the turn of the century may have perhaps been offset by this.

11/18/99

• Even though I did not point it out beforehand, it should've been clear to those who read my '1999' expositions that Halloween was the 'resurrection' date - resurrection being the key symbolic theme very relevant to the period of c. 1999.  And sure enough, we had a major event on Oct. 31, Halloween, that is still making the headlines today - the crash of EgyptAir 990.  Needless to say, airplane crashes are something that I had pointed out to be strongly relating to the Grail/Ark theme in '1999: The Ark of Sirius'.  And the significance of NYC and Egypt/Cairo, the doomed plane's origination and destination, I don't think I need to explain.  So basically, this EgyptAir 990 crash was a 'textbook' case of the manifestation of the symbolic 'pattern' that has been discussed on this web site for a long time now.  And I'm sure it was pretty obvious to those who had followed this web site for some time without me explaining it - though judging from the emails that I got since the crash, I kind of wonder if people are not understanding my work.

Another intriguing, additional symbolism involved in the EgyptAir 990 is that the particular plane was named 'Thutmosis III' (a powerful pharaoh from the 18th Dynasty of ancient Egypt).  Richard Hoagland, being a very clever guy, has already discussed some implications of this connection.  But it can be added that this great king of Armageddon (the prophetic 'Armageddon' derives from Thutmosis III's military campaign against Megiddo; Armageddon => Har Megiddon i.e. the Mount of Megiddo) falling from the sky (i.e. EgyptAir 990) relates to X-72's 'great king of terror' who 'will come from the sky'.  Though there are other, more significant, implications, I rather not go into it at this time.

It is interesting to note that the situation of recovering, extracting, and interpreting the information of the EgyptAir plane's 'black boxes' can be viewed as a symbolic, and foreshadowing, enactment of the widely anticipated discovery (primarily based on Edgar Cayce's prediction which I'm not necessarily endorsing) of what might be called the 'Hall of Records' which is said to contain information relating to "Atlantis" - i.e. 'resurrection' of (the knowledge of) "Atlantis".  We can likely gain some insights from how the EgyptAir 990 crashed about how "Atlantis" fell.  On another level, it would yield some insights into the affairs of the 18th Dynasty of ancient Egypt, etc. 



• December should be a very interesting month.  First, we have Dec. 1 - the feast day of Poseidon, the original ruler of Atlantis.  And also Dec. 17-23 - the Saturnalia, festival of Saturn.  Dec. 25 - Christmas, etc.  A capstone placed on top of the Great Pyramid on Dec. 31/Jan. 1.  Etc. etc.
  
  
• As mentioned before, the placing of a capstone on the Great Pyramid would relate to Sirius (C) and subsequently, based on my interpretation, the fall of the pope/Church.  And the placing of the capstone precisely at the turn of the century can relate to a major character in my model, Mary Magdalene - a version of Isis (Sirius) - as '2000' can be written as 'MM' (initials of Mary Magdalene).  What I forgot to point out previously was the coherent implication of the apparent link between the Magdalene and the fall of the pope/Church.  The 'resurrection' of Mary Magdalene, or the hidden/suppressed history, or reality, symbolized by the Holy Grail (or even "Atlantis" in some way), would automatically means the collapse of the foundation of the Church because the tale of the 'Grail'/Magdalene clearly exposes the corruption and the nonexistent authority of the Church.  Acknowledging the truer story of the Magdalene and the surrounding situation would mean acknowledging that the Church, more or less, 'hijacked' the Messianic tradition by force for power and control.  But the Church simply did not, and still does not, have the 'right' to claim any kind of divine authority.  This explains why the Church has been so paranoid about 'heretics' throughout its history.  The Church committed the first genocide in modern European history with the Albigensian Crusade (early 13th century in southern France).  They exterminated the peaceful Albigensians (men, women, and children) only because their dualistic and gnostic ideas did not conform to the (artificial) teachings of the Church.

It can be said that those 'christians', including the Albigensians, who the Church tried so hard to suppress and erase from history were the people of 'Grail' tradition who knew better than to accept the dogma and the authority of the Church.  And fortunately the 'underground stream' of Grail tradition survived the merciless aggression and still exist today in various forms (the United States itself, as a country, could be viewed as the continuation of the tradition, though it's not explicit).  The recurrent 'resurrection' symbolism we see around us now can be seen as a foreshadow of the underground tradition finally coming out to the surface to tell its story.  And the bubble, which is what the empty structure of the Church is, would have to burst.  Year 2000 is likely the beginning of this painful but unavoidable and necessary process.  The "bug" in the system is to be faced in Y2K.

10/13/99

• A lot of people have emailed me asking why the web site has not been updated for a long time.  One reason is, with the Aug. 16-8 'window', my specific 'key dates' presented in my '1999' articles ended (though there still was the more general summer-fall '99 time frame) and therefore I did not need to specifically evaluate my past work thereafter.  Another reason is just that I've been pretty busy working on a project.  Also, what I've been doing off-line (still related to the material on this site) has become much further ahead of the online stuff here that it's becoming increasingly difficult to balance the two.

A lot of events occurred since the last update, but let me comment on only those immediately relevant to my material or those I just find interesting:
 

• First, the imaging of Cydonia scheduled for Aug. 26...  Errr... No one has yet seen the pictures and no one seems to be sure what happened.  Wonder what will happen with the next imaging opportunity, Nov. 21...
  
  
• Then we had the disappearance of Mars Climate Orbiter upon arriving at Mars (paralleling the fate of Mars Orbiter) on Sept 23.  What happened?  NASA tells us that they confused metric and Imperial measuring systems...  Hehehehe.  Recall that the same organization assured people that it was virtually impossible for Cassini to malfunction and collide with the earth.  Are these "rocket scientists" idiots or are they lying or... well, there are many possibilities, but indications are strong that something funny is going on.
  
  
• Recently there was a news story about a possible discovery of a planet beyond Pluto orbiting our sun.  Those familiar with Zacharia Sitchin were of course quick to associate it with the "12th Planet".  The '12th Planet' association aside (being no fan of Sitchin myself), it is a very intriguing possibility.
  
  
• On Oct. 12, one of the leading news in US was the death of the basketball legend, Wilt Chamberlain.  I find this symbolically quite significant because of the combination of the date - just a day before, or on (in other part of the world) the key 'Templar date' of Oct. 13 (the date on which the Knights Templar met the end of its 'official' existence), and Chamberlain's nickname 'The Big Dipper'.  The 'Big Dipper' is part of the constellation Ursa Maj. (the 'Great Bear') and it, as discussed numerous times before, relates to the Grail/Ark just as the Templars also do.  The death of "The Big Dipper" more or less coinciding with the date of the Templar's demise is therefore symbolically quite congruent.
  
  
• Now something about the future.  It appears that the period around the end of 1999 is to resonate strongly with my 'projections' in '1999: The Ark of Sirius'.  The future I 'projected' concerned two main themes: the appearance of Sirius C and the fall of the pope (accompanied or followed by big troubles for the Church).  At least one of those two is now scheduled to occur at the very end of the year 1999.  Not surprisingly, this apparent fulfillment is to be of metaphoric nature.  On New Year's Eve, a gilded capstone is planned to be placed on the top of the Great Pyramid.  This could be viewed as the appearance of Sirius C because according to The Sirius Mystery (1998 edition - which I don't have but 'justina' was kind enough to email me the following information from the new edition of the book):

On page 31, there is a passage taken from Daniel Benest and J.L. Duvent's 1995 article "Is Sirius a Triple Star," that says Sirius C cannot be much more than about 0.05% of the mass of the sun (and of Sirius B).  Using one of the simple length measures of the kind which seemed to indicate the relative masses of Sirius B and our sun, the mass of Sirius C may be indicated by the height of the missing pyramidion of the Great Pyramid.  For it was 31 feet and the original height of the pyramidion was 0.0643 of the total height of the pyramid, corresponding to within 0.01 of the 0.05 of solar mass suggested for Sirius C in 1995.

While I don't quite follow the reasoning of the above, it's clear that Sirius C is being associated with the capstone of the Great Pyramid - thus the placing of a capstone on the Great Pyramid would nicely represents the appearance of Sirius C!

Now, in '1999: The Ark of Sirius' I stated: "If the Sirius 'light display' of this kind and the Church schism are to occur, they will likely coincide with each other timing-wise."  I find it rather troubling that this synchronization is seemingly underway as the pope is now tentatively scheduled to visit Iraq, a dangerous place I'd say, in December - especially in light of the following quatrain:

Iraq is noted for its two major rivers, the Euphrates and the Tigris.  But not only that, the pope is said to be eager to visit Ur, the city of Abraham, near the confluence of the two rivers.

Another element that adds to the the possibility of the December synchronization is the information provided by Joseph McMoneagle, the former military/SRI remote viewer with an impressive documented track record (in other words, he is no Ed Dames, for those who only knows RV from listening to Art Bell) in his book 'The Ultimate Time Machine' ('98).  On page 169, we read "The current pope will die late in the year of 1999."

Note that the timing, December/January, does not necessarily conflict with the first line of X-72 (the '1999' quatrain) "L'an mil neuf cens nonante neuf sept mois" as it can be interpreted to read '1999, month of Sirius' (since Sirius was called 'Sept' in Egypt, etc.) and December/January is to be the 'month(s) of Sirius C'.

While I know better than to insist on the literal fulfillment of the projection, it seems to me that the potential is building.  And let me add lastly, that the placing of the capstone, Sirius, as we enter the year 2000 also correlates to the theme of Mary Magdalene (who can be viewed as a version of Isis/Sirius) as the number '2000' in Roman numeral is MM - her initials, interesting enough.
 

• A lot has happened since the previous update.  First, the remarkable solar eclipse on Aug. 11.  This event coincided with the shooting incident, by a Nazi/Hitler-inspired white-supremacist, in some Jewish community in US (8/10-11) making the headlines.  This is yet another case conforming to my '1999/X-72 model' which has been showing an on-going pattern with the theme of Nazi/Hitler etc.
  
  
• As for the projected 'resurrection date' of 8/13-14 (see previous update), I personally did not see any 'resonance' there.  So... that was somewhat surprising.  Perhaps the date 8/13 had become too much of public knowledge (because of the Aztec calendar connection) for the 'resonance' to manifest but much more subtly (as in my model, the level of general awareness amongst the populace affects the level of directness of the manifestation of the cosmically directed archetypal, symbolic concepts).  But then, the eclipse date of 8/11, a very obvious time-marker, yielded a quite strong resonance (i.e. the shooting incident, etc.), so...  I'm not sure.
  
  
• Next up is the key date, Aug. 16 - the date suggested from various angles (see '1999: Ark').  First, the headline news in US was students returning to Columbine high school where the massacre occurred on Hitler's birthday earlier this year - thus reinforcing its symbolic  relevance.

While the other key date initially was Aug. 18, since the date was dependent on the Cassini-flyby date, which somehow shifted a little to Aug. 17 (around 11:30pm Eastern US time) for those in America though not for other countries, it had become more fitting to view the 3 days, Aug. 16-8, as a 'window'.  And this window of course yielded the horrendous earthquake disaster in Turkey (8/17 local time, 8/16 American time) that apparently killed more than 20,000 people (!), immediately followed by the Cassini flyby.  So, the key date(s) seem to be 'answered' but how does the earthquake relate to the on-going 'pattern', apart from the date?  First, there is the epicenter, Izmit, being located at about 40.8 N (Cydonia latitude), and well... I think that's enough for now.  The other links are too complicated and based on a model has not yet appeared on this site.

Since some people seem to be confused, let me clarify something here.  I never predicted that Cassini would crash into Earth.  In fact, my model tended to assume that it would not crash.  All the theories about Cassini crashing into the earth are by some (no so bright) prophecy enthusiasts out there.  Not me.  Even though I started discussing Cassini pretty much before anybody else in '97.  Actually I should get an award for associating Cassini with X-72 for so long without theorizing its crash like most others who later made the association did! :)  Anyway... 



• Let's see...  Venus is currently "covered by the sun" and going retrograde - both are potentially significant as explained in '1999: FS' and '1999: Ark' respectively.  There are actually things occurring that may relate to these.  But I'll wait a little more before I comment on that.
  
  
• What else... Oh, I recently read that Isis is celebrated on July 23 (can anyone confirm this?) - which of course perfectly completes the Columbia-Sirius/Isis/Magdalene connection (see previous update).  Also, another key date that coincided with the completion of the Tour de France (see previous update), July 25, happened to coincide with the Magdalene parade in southern France (St Maximin in Provence) as well, which annually takes place on a Sunday nearest to July 22 the feast day of the Magdalene (so July 25 in '99).

8/10/99

• The last total solar eclipse of the century is about to occur on Aug. 11, and it is getting much attention of the world, especially Europe which has the best view of the big celestial event.  The solar eclipse, traditionally an ominous sign, occurring in the midst of the 'window' of X-72, is of course symbolically very fitting.  And furthermore, it is also accompanied by an astrological 'grand cross' occurring in the sky.

How does this 'omen' fit into my model, or does it?  Until recently I had not been particularly that interested in this astronomical/astrological 'sign', but now I've noticed some intriguing connections that are meaningful in the context of my developing '1999' model.  Namely, they will involve the recurrent motifs of Osiran/Saturnian resurrection, Isis/Sirius, Grail, etc.

It is said that when Osiris, a central figure in the '1999/X-72 saga', died the sun turned black (i.e. a 'black sun'), thus creating an eclipse association.  The 'grand cross' also relates to Osiris as the cross was an Osiran symbol.  Traditionally, the death of Osiris occurred on a Friday, and he was resurrected three days later.  Sounds familiar?  Yes, it is very similar to the story of Jesus' crucifixion (on a Friday) and resurrection (Sunday).  The 'cross' allusion of course strengthens the connection.  As if this weren't enough, we also find a likely reference to the darkening sun ('back sun' => solar eclipse) in the story of Jesus' crucifixion.  The Bible tells us that at noon of the day of the crucifixion there was an anomalous period of darkness (Mark 15:33, Matt. 27:45), and Jesus is said to have cried out from the cross 'Eli, Eli [or 'Eloi Eloi'], lama sabachthani?' ('My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?').  The potential allusion to a solar eclipse by the strange daytime "darkness" is reinforced by the strong possibility that the word 'Eli/Eloi' was actually 'Helios' the sun god (as suggested in 'The Foreigner' by Desmond Stewart, etc.), thus what Jesus supposedly said would be 'Oh sun, oh sun, why hast thou forsaken me?'.

The Osiris-Jesus link can also be seen in one of Osiris' epithets, 'Chrestos' - closely resembling Christos/Christ ('The Foreigner' p77).  But why does the close parallel exist between the two figures that seemingly have nothing in common otherwise?  The likely answer probably disturbs many christians:  The parallel exists because Jesus was an initiate of the ancient Egyptian religion who was deliberately, but without telling his exoteric/uninitiated disciples, reenacting the story of Osiris and Isis (Isis "played" by Mary Magdalene), as discussed in depth in 'The Templar Revelation' by Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince.  Much of Christian tradition today actually came from ancient Egypt.

At any rate, interestingly if the total eclipse on Wednesday marks the death of Osiris/Jesus, we get Friday as the day of 'resurrection' (though I'm not sure if Osiris' resurrection 'three days' after his death would actually point to Saturday instead).  This coming Friday, interestingly enough, will be a 'Friday the 13th' (which the legendary arrest of the Templar on Oct. 13, 1307 also was), and the very same date, 8/13/99, is said to be a crucial date according to the Aztec calendar.  So, I'm more interested in that date of 'resurrection' than the the day of the eclipse itself.

It also needs to be added that the path of the total eclipse goes through England, France, etc. that are places closely associated with the Grail legend. 



• I've discussed here previously how the space shuttle Columbia with the 'Chandra' telescope relates to Sirius/Isis through the date July 20 - the originally scheduled date for launch.  Now it has come to my attention that the re-scheduled date for Columbia's launch, July 22, (also postponed due to weather) was the feast day of Mary Magdalene (who is actually identifiable with Isis)!  It seems likely that the strange cancellation of the July 20 launch at literally the last second was to 'mark' both the 'Sirius/Isis day' (July 20) and the 'Magdalene day' (July 22), and link them together - which would be esoterically/symbolically potent and meaningful.  Yet, of course, the shuttle wasn't launched until July 23 - this was perhaps accidental (i.e. bad weather interfering with the 'plan').  But the fact that the date of the launch coincided with the "Mass of Resurrection" of JFK Jr. suggests it was too planned.

• On July 25, one of the key dates listed in my '1999: The Ark of Sirius', the United States' Lance Armstrong won the 1999 Tour de France.  This one is filled with symbolisms...  First, the country France is central to the legend of the Holy Grail.  Its capital Paris, shown to be very important in '1999: Ark', was where the finale of the Tour de France took place on July 25.  The actual goal in Paris was non other than the Arc de Triomphe / Champs-Elysées - whose significance should be obvious to those who read '1999: Ark' and/or 'The Elysian Fields'!  And the champion being the American, Armstrong...  well, of course it's the continuation of the Apollo11/Moon symbolism (involving JFK Jr., shuttle Columbia, etc.) through the association with (Neil) Armstrong, the first man, American, to walk on the moon!

• It was announced that Britain is going to launch a space probe 'Beagle Two' to Mars, arriving in 2003, to investigate the possibility of life on Mars. The name "Beagle Two" is said to be named after the ship on which Charles Darwin came up the theory of evolution.  Now... why would they want to directly associate a Mars probe with the theory of evolution?  Unless of course, "they" are subliminally hinting that Mars had, or will have, something to do with our evolution.

 
• Speaking of Mars, NASA's Mars Global Surveyor is scheduled to take pictures of  the Cydonia region on Aug. 26 and Nov. 21.  The timing is perfect with regard to my '1999 model', as I hypothesized in '1999: FS' that MGS might image the region of Cydonia during the time period of July-Aug.-Sept. '99 which might reveal or further suggest the artificiality of the infamous structures there.

7/25/99

• A little more about the symbolic significance of the JFK Jr. plane crash:  As mentioned before, the incident was the continuation and confirmation of the airplane-Grail/Ark pattern discussed in '1999: The Ark of Sirius'.  A new piece of data further corroborates this view:  JFK Jr. was sometimes called the 'Prince of Camelot' (though I don't know why exactly), and of course 'Camelot' figures prominently in the tale of King Arthur - in which we find the story of the quest for the Holy Grail.

So, since this event of the JFK Jr. plane crash occurred in July, the "seventh month", one might wonder whether this was the fulfillment of the infamous X-72 quatrain.  Since my approach doesn't focus on just single event but look at the grand underlying pattern of events, I don't point to one event and identify it as the fulfillment of this or that quatrain/prophecy.  But I will say that the event does have a quite direct correlation to X-72, especially the often-quoted second line "From the sky will come a great 'King of terror', because the Gaelic word 'uther' which is linked with the name 'Arthur' (=> JFK Jr.) means 'terrible'.  In other words, the JFK Jr. plane crash can be described as: 'terrible prince/king came down from the sky', i.e. the Line 2 of X-72.

Then one naturally wonders how the next line,  "To resurrect the great King of Angolmois", would fit into this scenario.  The "To resurrect the great King" part can be correlated with the date of the crash, July 16, being the date of Apollo 11's historic launch - the culmination of the space program initiated by the father of the prince (JFK Jr.), President Kennedy, the "great King".  As mentioned before, 'Apollo' could be seen as the Greek counterpart of the Egyptian sun-god Horus, the son of Osiris/Orion (note that the patch of the Apollo program showed the constellation of Orion);  and upon death the Horus-king (i.e. Pharaoh) was considered to become Osiris.  In other words, the death of Horus (JFK Jr.) can be seen as the rebirth/resurrection of Osiris (JFK).  Thus, the death of JFK Jr. 'resurrected the great King', his father (JFK/Osiris), fittingly on the date 7/16 on which the fulfillment of the father's dream (i.e. Apollo 11 mission) began.

To strengthen this view, let me reference the Egyptian 'opening of the mouth' ritual which involved the new Horus-king opening the mouth of the mummified dead king.  In the ritual, the son(s) of the dead king splits open the mouth of the king using a metallic tool ('adze') to free/resurrect the soul (i.e. resurrection of Osiris).  And the shape of the adze has been linked to the constellation Ursa Major or Minor.  Recall that Ursa Major figured in my '1999: Ark of Sirius' in conjunction with the theme of 'ark'.  Also, it should be pointed out that Ursa Major/Minor is the celestial 'bears', and 'bear' happens to be what the name 'Arthur' ('arth') may have derived from.  Furthermore, Beta Ursa Minor happens to be where the northern 'air shaft' of the Great Pyramid's Queen's Chamber (see 'The Orion Mystery' or 'The Message of the Sphinx' by Bauval w/ Gilbert/Hancock) was targeted toward in the Pyramid Age c. 2500 BC (the other shaft from Queen's Chamber on the south side is targeted toward Sirius - another key theme).  Additionally, as Bauval/Gilbert point out, the shape of the northern shaft resembles the shape of the sacred adze.  It seems from the strong correlation that I have to bring back the issue of '39' that has been deleted from the 7/17 update (see previous update for detail).  The angle of the Queen's Chamber's northern shaft is 39 degrees, and even though JFK Jr. was 38 years old, he was living his '39'th year thus in this way matching the angle.

Now, as for 'Angolmois' of Line 3, I found a web page that provided an intriguing interpretation of the word - that 'Angolmois' is an anagram for 'sang lion' (French) meaning' 'blood of the lion'.  And that would again refer to the Holy Grail, the blood of Jesus - which in turn represents the Davidic bloodline, and David is of Judah which was symbolized by the 'lion', thus the 'blood of the lion'.

Seeing all these connections, I'm very curious at this point as to whether the bloodline of the Kennedys is linked to the Messianic branches in Europe (coming from the Merovingians).
 

• The spaceshuttle Columbia scheduled to be launched on the key Sirian date, July 20, was delayed and lifted off early July 23.  This is not unexpected and that is why I carefully used the phrase "attaching a special space mission to [the date July 20]" in my 7/7 Update to indicate that the shuttle does not necessarily have to be launched on that date but that the scheduling itself is significant enough.

The main mission of this shuttle was the deployment of the Chandra X-ray observatory - one of the most powerful space observatories ever put into orbit.  The name 'Chandra' appears to continue the reference to the Apollo mission (recall that the name of the first-ever woman commander, Eileen, is derived from a word meaning 'sun' => Apollo the sun god) as 'Chandra' means 'moon'. 



• Instead of spaceshuttle Columbia, the NASA July 20 "ritual" was done with the Liberty Bell space capsule that came out of the water after spending 38 years at the bottom of  the Atlantic Ocean.  This correlates with the resurrection of the Saturnian realm or "Atlantis" discussed in my '1999: Final Solution'.
  
  
• It is also interesting that Colombia's Independence Day is July 20.  The name "Colombia" almost matching the name of the spaceshuttle 'Columbia' (pronounced the same and derived from the same root word 'Columbus', well at least that's the 'official' claim), and both would relate to 'Columba' the dove of Noah's Ark as mentioned before.  Interestingly, one of the most important rivers in Colombia is named 'Magdalena', an obvious reference to Mary Magdalene (=> Grail, as discussed before, and comparable to Isis/Sirius).  And one of its major cities is named 'Medellin' - also a likely reference to the Magdalene (as the name 'Madeline' is derived from Magdalene).

 

7/19/99

• Correction:  JFK Jr. was not 39 years old as I indicated in previous update, but actually 38 years old (as he was born on Nov. 25, '60).  A news report I heard stated that he was 39 yrs. old and that confused me even though I checked his birth day (apparently carelessly).  To avoid creating further confusion, I've deleted the inaccurate information from the previous update.

7/17/99

• JFK Jr.'s plane apparently crashed on July 16...  It's the exact date Apollo 11 was launched for the first moon landing 30 years ago, which was a goal initiated by JFK Jr.'s father President Kennedy (the moon-landing itself took place on the key Sirian date, July 20).  July 16 is also the date Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 began colliding with Jupiter in '94.  It should also be noted that July 17 (note that in other parts of the world it was already July 17th) was the date of the TWA 800 crash in '96 which also occurred near NYC/Long Island.  Reinforcing those associations is the fact that the first atomic explosion of the 'Manhattan Project' (=> NYC) occurred on the same date, July 16 ('45).  JFK Jr.'s plane was headed for Martha's Vineyard, northeast of Long Island - as I've mentioned some months ago, 'vineyard' (or grape/wine/vine) is associated with bloodline, especially the Messianic one, i.e. the "Grail".  The "Martha" part is also seemingly relevant as it could mean 'lady' which would esoterically relatable to 'Our Lady', Mary Magdalene, through whom Jesus' bloodline is theorized to have been perpetuated.

In case you're confused by the associations above, all those (i.e. TWA 800/plane crashes, Apollo 11, SL-9, NYC, Grail, July 20, Sirius, etc.) are topics already discussed and correlated in my past writings ('Babylon Matrix', '1999: FS', or '1999: Ark of Sirius').  Therefore, this event of JFK Jr. plane crash is being viewed as the continuation/confirmation of the symbolic motifs.  Notice, in particular, that in '1999: The Ark of Sirius' I specifically discussed the symbolic significance of plane crashes.

7/7/99

• LOL!  They couldn't do it!  NASA just could not go by the key Sirian date, July 20, without attaching a special space mission to it.  Sure it's becoming very predictable (just as I pointed out date as a key date associated with NASA in 'The Ark of Sirius' recently for example, and also just read the previous update below), but hey this is the "seventh month" of 1999 - it had to be done :)  The NASA mission I'm talking about is the space shuttle Columbia scheduled to be launched July 20, which will "make history" as it will be the first U.S. space mission with a woman commander (note that this relates to Sirius/Isis as Isis is the archetypal female figure).  Of course they have a nice cover explanation of 7/20/99 being the 30th anniversary of the first moon landing - but which was also based on the same Sirius connection anyway.

Note that the name of the woman commander, Eileen, comes from Greek helios ('sun') which matches the name of the mission to the moon, Apollo, which is also a sun god.  The name of the shuttle 'Columbia' is the continuation of the Ark theme ('Columba' the dove associated with Noah's ark) - so this space shuttle mission on the Sirian date can be nicely described as 'The Ark of Sirius'!  Oh, and also 'Helen', a form of which is Eileen, is the name of a woman whose kidnapping by Paris was the cause of the Trojan War.  'Paris' is of course a big theme in 'The Ark of Sirius' also.

• On/around another key date July 4 (see 'Ark of Sirius' etc.), the leading news was the deadly Independence Day weekend drive-by shooting rampage by a white supremacist who killed himself on the night of July 4 at Salem, Illinois.  This can be associated with the good ol' Nazi-theme.  I'd also like to point out that 'Salem', the name of the town, would mean 'peace' just as Jeru-salem (Urusalim) can be understood as 'foundation of peace'.  Do you see a rough parallel between this incident and the coming destruction of Mir (= 'peace')?
  
  
• I've been meaning to mention this for some time, but the on-going and increasingly dangerous fighting in Kashmir between India and Pakistan correlates very nicely to the associative matrix of 'Ark/Grail' as Kashmir is the very location where the tomb of Jesus, who is intimately associated with ark/grail, supposedly resides according to some tradition.  Therefore I  think it's no coincidence that Kashmir is making noise at this particular time.  Notice also that the southern apex of the land of India marks exactly 77 E longitude (for the significance of '77', see '1999: Final Solution').
  
  
• And finally, the big theme of 'Nazis/Hitler' derived from X-72 (the '1999' quatrain) is being reinforced right now as the capital of Germany is moving back to Berlin and the government is making the transition over this summer.  This means Bonn served as the capital for 50 years - and '50' is a key Sirian # (see 'Ark of Sirius').  The first wave of government officials left Bonn for Berlin on July 4th (US time).  Also, apparently the symbol of Berlin is 'bear' (=> correlates with the name 'Arthur' => Grail) and it was reported that Teddy bears with "Welcome to Berlin" T-shirts greeted 77 ('77' again) government employees arriving in Berlin on the first chartered planes.

7/1/99

• So here we are finally in the "seventh month" of 1999.  And expectedly, people all over the world are starting to talk about Nostradamus.  I was informed recently that the URL of my web site was listed in an article in "The Times" of London (which I'm told is a major newspaper).  I'm aware of a number of other publications that had articles on Nostradamus, and I'm sure there will be much more this month.  But someone has to tell those guys that the indicated month is not necessarily July.  As explained in my writings on this subject, it can easily be August or September.

I'm already very tired of people talking about comets/asteroids hitting earth, or questioning "Is the world really going to end?".  I can tell you that you don't have to worry about those things because - do you really think 'reality' is so simple that people can predict beforehand what is to come?  Remember that comets/asteroids, "end of the world", etc. are only people's (very lazy) interpretations.  And people are generally not intelligent enough (not even close) to interpret esoteric symbolism effectively.  So if people are saying "X is going to happen!", you can see that as a big sign that it won't :)

• It appears that NASA is at it again.  It is reported that NASA "will set off its own Independence Day fireworks during a series of nighttime rocket launches from July 2 to 20, 1999" which is designed to study "space weather".  And:
  
  
"Two of the experiment packages will release a chemical that will form large glowing clouds in space.  These luminescent milky-white clouds should be visible to the naked eye for several hundred miles from the launch site, encompassing the mid-Atlantic region and portions of the northeastern and southeastern United States."
 
Very ritualistic, I'd say.  I wonder if these 'glowing clouds' have something to do with the "cloud" of Quatrain II-41 which is discussed in '1999: The Ark of Sirius' and is linked to Sirius the 'Dog Star' - and 'Dog Days' are in July (July 20 being the most significant).

• On the key date June 24 mentioned in previous update, the Cassini Venus-flyby occurred (I had forgotten about it).  Now the space probe is headed toward Earth.  (It's inevitable that this will get a lot of media/public attention.)

Also on June 24, Israel and Hezbollah guerrillas in Lebanon exchanged firepower which resulted in several deaths.  This might be a sign of what is to come in the near future.
