Here is how to "decoded" it...

Haiyan was called "Yolanda" in the Philippines, meaning "violet" or basically purple, which happens to be the original meaning of the name "phoenix". And right around the time of Haiyan/Yolanda there was a space ritual taking place involving a "feather of the phoenix" in the form of a Olympic Torch visiting the International Space Station (ISS)...

The Olympic torch relay leading to the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, chalked up a space first Saturday, with two cosmonauts staging a symbolic handoff, passing the torch back and forth while posing for publicity shots during a six-hour spacewalk at the International Space Station. [...]

"As above, so below". The 2014 Olympic Torch is officially designed to represent a phoenix feather.

In this symbolic context we would see the feather/wing of the phoenix above (Olympic Torch) driving super typhoon Haiyan/Yolando below.

It makes a lot of sense too that there was that violet/purple phoenix at the end of the 2012 London Olympics rising from torches. In hindsight that was when the Olympic Torch transformed into the phoenix (feather) for the subsequent Olympic Games in Russia/2014. So what we are seeing right now is essentially the continuation and intensification of that big Super Torch Ritual.

We are also reminded of the fact that the same London phoenix already "gave birth" to not one but two major world figures via the Golden Ratio (phi)... Pope Francis and Prince George (William & Kate's baby).

It was a telling coincidence that the day the royal baby was born (July 22, 2013) was also the day Pope Francis arrived in Rio, Brazil (his first major trip overseas as pope).

The Pope Shift and the Russian/Sochi Olympics may be linked via the Russian meteor strike back in February 2013, as it closely coincided with the previous pope, Benedict XVI, announcing his resignation plan.

This temporal entanglement is supplemented by a spatial alignment uniting the meteor, Rome, and Rio in effect anticipating the new pope's big trip there in July.

There was also a polar alignment from the meteor strike site generating another Golden Ratio.

The 2010 "Mystery Missile" near Catalina Island/Los Angeles pinpointed in this alignment, as you may recall from our 2011 article Lucifer's Destiny, was part of a "Double Omen" that unfolded on November 8th in 2010, or exactly 3 years before super typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda/Phoenix this year!

It was "double" in nature as it was a combination of two events, the Mystery Missile and a crippled cruise ship, that constituted a major "omen". And it just so happens that earlier this year (2013) we witnessed a repeat of the Double Omen in the form of the Russian meteor and a cruise ship emergency taking place simultaneously...

In both cases a major William-Kate Royal Union event followed about a 5 month later, namely the Royal Wedding (Apr 29, 2011) and the Royal Baby Birth (July 22, 2013). It's been well established around here that the Royal Union stuff is a big part of the Double Omen scheme... along with the "Big One". (See Lucifer's Destiny.)

The Japanese Birthquake (& nuclear disaster) striking less than 2 months before the Royal Wedding was a seismic Big One, whereas typhoon Hiyan/Yolanda a few months after the Royal Baby Birth was a meteorological Big One (and notice the "meteor" in the term "meteorology"). In both the phoenix was found heavily embedded as a key theme.

It's worth noting that using the dates of the Japanese Birthquake and the "end" of the Mayan calendar we can produce the following Golden Ratio timeline... pointing ahead to January 27, 2014.

That's just a few days shy of: 1) Super Bowl (Feb 2), 2) Russian/Sochi Olympics (Feb 7-23), and 3) the Chinese New Year (Jan 31)... the Year of the Wood Horse.

That last brings to mind the Trojan Horse, in the Greek tradition called the "Wooden Horse"...

...of the Trojan War, ultimately started by the Golden Apple of Discord.

That's our super theme and we've been tracking it very closely for a few years now, especially this year when Venus has been in its Evening Star phase or Hesperus in Greek from which derives the name of the nymphs "Hesperides" who tend the garden in which golden apples are grown.

The Evening Star will attain its maximum brightness in December 2013 (around Dec 8-11). A little later in the same month, there is going to be an Orange Alignment, which is our unique term for a Venus-Sun-Mercury alignment, a very reliable omen/time marker for a certain type of major world events including severe earth changes. In many languages, oranges are called "golden apples". Thus Orange Alignment = Golden Apple Alignment.

It will be a very special alignment this time indeed for various reasons. For one, it will coincide with the winter solstice, exactly one year after the "end" of the Mayan calendar. The winter solstice is also pinpointed by the latitude of two Brazilian cities Rio and (more precisely) Sao Paulo sitting on the Tropic of Capricorn marking the angle of the winter-solstice Sun reflected on the surface of the earth.

A few days later on December 26, 2013, Comet ISON will be at its closest point to Earth. ISON will be at perihelion (closest to the Sun) a little earlier on Turkey Day (Nov 28), resonating with "Trojan" again as the city of Troy was located in what is now Turkey.

A comet is a "torch" in the sky...

...just like the Olympic Torch in space (phoenix feather) in November.

And here's the kicker: In Russian folklore, the feather of the phoenix/firebird is directly connected to golden apples!

As told in "the Fire Bird and the Gray Wolf":

A king's apple tree bore golden apples, but every night, one was stolen. Guards reported that the Firebird stole them. The king told his two oldest sons that the one who caught the bird would receive half his kingdom and be his heir. They drew lots to see who would be first, but both fell asleep; they tried to claim it had not come, but it had stolen an apple. Finally Ivan Tsarevich, the youngest son, asked to try; his father was reluctant because of his youth but consented. Ivan remained awake the entire time, and upon seeing the bird, tried to catch it by the tail. Unfortunately, Ivan only managed to grasp one feather. The Firebird did not return, but the king longed for the bird. He said that still, whoever caught it would have half his kingdom and be his heir. [...]

So the overall pattern is unmistakable.

Phoenix, Olympics, torch, Trojan golden apple, meteor Deep Impact, ISON, popes, Super Bowl... all heavily entangled omens and themes becoming one big storm roaring toward 2014. Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda was a major impact event/signal for the new season and the temporal/multicontextual shock waves from it reverberating into the past and future are substantial. The rest of this year (2013) is filled with "golden apples" (of discord), ominously paving the way for the Year of the Wood/Trojan Horse (2014). Chaos and "Trojan War" still very much in the air...
